This is a playset for Fiasco I created based on the Star Wars universe post episode 4.
Fiasco is inspired by cinematic tales of small time capers gone disastrously wrong - inspired by films like Blood Simple, Fargo, The Way of the Gun, Burn After Reading, and A Simple Plan. You'll play ordinary people with powerful ambition and poor impulse control. There will be big dreams and flawed execution. It won't go well for them, to put it mildly, and in the end it will probably all go south in a glorious heap of jealousy, murder, and recrimination. It's designed to be played in a single session, usually around two and a half hours, with no prep.
The Aldus is one of countless lost ships, likely drifting, dead, somewhere between systems. Salvage of such ships can be profitable, and sometimes risky. But the chances for both have gone up significantly, as your captain thinks the Aldus might hold information even more valuable than any cargo it might still have, and he's determined to claim it before competitors get there first.
Elite:Dangerous is an easy, flexible sci-fi game that focuses on creative skill use and action between characters, vehicles, and starships. Pregens and rules introduction provided for this new game.
You used to uncover secrets, or maybe kill to keep them. You used to serve your country in the shadows, doing things — or stopping things — that couldn’t be shown in daylight or on the evening news. Then you stopped. Maybe you got tired, or maybe you got burned, or maybe you got out while you could. But you didn’t go into the daylight. Not just yet. You stayed in the shadows, in Europe’s deniable underground networks of crime and conflict, but you did it on your own terms.
You did a few ops, and you asked fewer questions. You worked for money in secret accounts, and for people you didn’t know. But they weren’t people. It turned out they couldn’t be shown in daylight or on the evening news either. Because they were vampires.
And now you know. And they know that you know. Vampires exist. What can they do? Who do they own? Where is safe? How much is legend, and what is the truth? You don’t know those answers yet. So you’d better start asking questions and picking targets. You have to trace the bloodsuckers’ operations, penetrate their networks, follow their trail, and target their weak points.
Because if you don’t hunt them, they will hunt you. And they will kill you. Or worse. You must mount your own shadow war, on a secret terror that only you know exists. Stay alert, and stay awake. It’s going to be a long night.
